Around the Grounds

100 days of school
One hundred days of good times can really take a toll - nothing a strong cuppa can't fix. Minimbah and Penbank campuses celebrated the wonderful milestone of 100 days of life and learning at school, sharing their joy and wrinkly smiles at assemblies.

Think Fast...
...because we have problems to solve. It’s Maths Week and this year’s program of events has seen lots of good-hearted banter and healthy competition between staff and students - all part of the long tradition and just the way we like it at Woodleigh. Letters and Numbers, Maths Limericks, The Australian Maths Competition, Maths Escape Rooms, Rubik’s Cube, Scavenger Hunts and Jeopardy... It’s been a broad spectrum of Maths-related activity.

Athletics
It's a well-known fact that running is an efficient way to stay warm. Also well-known is the fact that Athletics tracks don't offer too much shelter from cold winds. The result? Our Penbank kids RAN amd smiled a lot, too.

The Big Sleep Out
Last night, students took part in The Big Sleep Out - walking to Baxter Woolworths to buy toiletry donations for Pinch-A-Poo, hearing from the Salvation Army about the realities of homelessness, sharing a cold, plain spaghetti dinner and watching The Blind Side together. Huge thanks to Craig Azzopardi, Rob Watkins, Kristine Taylor and David Benton for their energy and generosity. From midnight patrols to breakfast donations, your efforts made the night unforgettable. Students may be a little weary on Friday after sleeping in the very cold Hall, but they’ll still be participating fully - this experience is all part of the learning.

Kinder days
Small moments from the ECC week at Penbank. No big events, just day-in-the-life, happy kids.

The Art Room
After almost 30 years, Penbank has passed the Visual Arts baton from Janine to Kiri. Big shoes to fill and so far SO good.

Footy
The girls' footy team dominated again this week. They are unstoppable, always determined.

Until we go around the grounds again next week...
