ECC and Foundation: Your First Weeks, Made Easier
The first weeks at a new school are a lot to take in; ECC and Foundation in particular bring even more for families to keep track of - amid all the anticipation.
To make the logistics that little bit easier, here is your calendar of events for those first couple of weeks.
First Steps for ECC3, ECC4 and Foundation gives you five weeks of reminders to keep you on track; days and times of the gradual build towards full days, reminders about school routines and contacts to keep handy. It’s a quick reference for your child’s group orientation and the steps into full groups and full days.

Canteen
Lunch Orders are available at Penbank each Wednesday. Orders are made directly to Bakery Made and delivered to the school in time for lunch. Your child will need to bring a snack and a drink for recess.
Learning at Penbank
Penbank's ECC and Foundation to Year 6 Handbooks both live here. Read about our educational ethos, teaching and learning in the junior years and the experiences and adventures of daily school life.
Out of School Hours Care
Woodleigh School provides Out-of-School-Hours Care at the Penbank Campus.
This is available to all students in ECC-Year 6.
Book Lists
Penbank booklists are included in the Fees and Charges, so families are not required to purchase any other stationery.
The only exception is Year 5s, who must purchase a Ukulele for the music program.
Music Program
Music plays a big part in the Woodleigh community.
Individual and shared voice and instrumental lessons, orchestras, rock bands, choirs and instrumental ensembles are available to all students. There are many studies proving that music education offers numerous benefits for childhood cognitive development, as well as enhanced academic and social outcomes. Music can be an invaluable component within a student’s overall education.
If you wish to receive more information about the Music Program at any of our three campuses, please contact the Music Office at Penbank, here.

Community
Each Woodleigh Campus has a Parents and Friends Group (PFG), a fantastic way to participate in school life. Each campus committee works collaboratively, and each member has specific responsibilities.
