Term 1

As our First Term of the year draws to a close, I wanted to express my thanks and gratitude for your support and goodwill, especially over the last few weeks as we have together traversed the changing school landscape in relation to COVID-19.

Throughout the term, staff have been working across both campuses to put together our Primary Years Program of Inquiry. This program guides the learning in classes across both the Minimbah and Penbank Campuses.

The collaborative nature of the planning process has enabled a broader sharing of ideas and a richer program for the students, has developed as a result.

If you have been attending our assemblies this term, you will have seen first-hand, the learning being expressed in a variety of ways. At the recent Year 2 Assembly, students shared beautiful poetry which resulted from their Inquiry into the nature of ‘self’, their beliefs and their values. They explored the concepts of connection, perspective and responsibility. No doubt student reflections on Seesaw, have also allowed you some further insight into the learning across the School.

Earlier in the term, many families gathered for the PFG Movie Night. I would like to extend my thanks to the PFG and in particular to Lisa Johnson and her Team for organising what was a great community event. The PFG looks forward to being able to bring our community together again for similar events once we navigate our new ‘normal’.

I trust all families stay healthy and safe in the coming weeks and months. As a school, we look forward to providing continuity of program for our students in the home environment. Please enjoy your holidays.
