Communicating with Parents
Communication is a high priority, and especially at the beginning of the year when children and parents are settling into the new school year. Thank you to all parents for attending the various introductory opportunities to include the PFG Morning Tea, Curriculum Information Night, Parent/Teacher Interviews and School Meeting.
School Meeting, held every Thursday morning is an opportunity for parents and extended families and friends to see Penbank in action. It is a time when we share the learning and celebrate the success and achievements of students through presentations and solo performances. We welcome all families and friends to attend.
The school is endeavouring to provide relevant information to parents in a consistent and timely manner. When you receive this Letter Home it will be distributed with all Heads of Campus newsletters. You can choose to read them all, or simply read the newsletter that is relevant to your child’s campus. Newsletters will be distributed fortnightly. You will receive a monthly newsletter from the Heads of Campus and then the alternate fortnight, newsletters from class/group teachers. You will hear from the Principal each fortnight. Newsletters will be distributed via email, the school website and the Woodleigh App. At Penbank, The Weekly Newsflash is posted on the Woodleigh App each Monday morning. The Newsflash is an update of the Penbank schedule for the coming week.
Importantly, if you have any queries regarding your child, please see your child’s teacher who is the one who can help. Reception is your first ‘port of call.’ The admin team are well informed with overall school matters and can arrange appointments on your behalf.
We are very excited with the upcoming learning experiences involving your children. Many thanks for your contribution and support.
