Golden Years at Penbank
To all our Penbank performers - you were outstanding! From Little Things highlighted so many special moments of our precious history at Penbank and all of the children did an amazing job in their roles - acting, singing, playing instruments, back stage, narrating - everyone played an integral part in making the show a success! We are very proud of you all!

Spring Musicale
How many ways can we say amazing? Incredible, superb, out of this world? Then the Winter Musicale was incredible, superb and out of this world. The Year 12 rock band even came by, mid-exam period, to be part of it. Thankyou as always to the staff who make it happen and the kids who work really hard to keep the standard sky high.
The theme was Iconic, the event is iconic and we farewelled an icon. Cathy Holt said goodbye after 27 years and four kids all having graduated. Until next time.

Year 6 ReimaginED Market
Last week, Year 6 students showcased their Inquiry unit, Sharing the Planet, through their ReimaginED Market. Working in teams, they explored Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and thought deeply about ways they could contribute to a more peaceful and equitable world. They designed meaningful products or services to raise awareness of their SDG. After crafting persuasive pitches, students confidently presented their stalls and opened them to the Penbank community. The event raised an incredible $1,647, which students voted to donate to the Mornington Community Support Centre to support locals in need. This project highlighted creativity, leadership and empathy - proof that learning can spark real-world impact.
The Year 6 teachers, Charlotte and Emily, said they couldn’t be prouder of their students' dedication, creativity and the high standard of everything they produced. The ReimaginED Market was a beautiful example of how learning, compassion and action can come together to build a better world, even on a small scale.
My group investigated animal cruelty and how this global problem can be solved by just changing our mindset to organic and humane meats instead of in-humane farming practices. While researching this problem, my group and I found that 95% of animals are in in-humane conditions already, more than the group ever thought. That's how we decided that we will find a solution to this problem. At our market stall, we sold different types of organic and humane meats, helping inform people that there is a solution to this and they can help animals worldwide by practising sustainable organic meat shopping. I also felt super proud of the advertisement pitch we presented to the large audience! -

Minimbah’s Year 6 students delivered an inspiring showcase of learning and action, united by the central idea “We create a better and more peaceful world.” Through keynote speeches, panels, and hands-on workshops, they brought the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) to life, championing causes from mental wellbeing and healthy lunchboxes to reducing inequalities and protecting our planet. The day ended with a heartfelt Festival of Hope, where students and visitors created a collaborative art piece symbolising our shared vision for a brighter future. It was a celebration of courage, creativity, and compassion that left everyone feeling inspired to take action, a step at a time.

Picasso Face
The Art Room has been alive with creativity over the past two terms, with a focus on clay modelling. Years 3 & 4 explored cultural appreciation through art, creating imaginative clay face sculptures inspired by Picasso’s abstract style, while Years 5 & 6 showcased their skills with expressive animal eyes rich in texture and detail. It’s been wonderful to see students’ confidence and creativity flourish, and we can’t wait to see what next year brings!
Until we go around the grounds again next week...
