Welcome to 2020
Happy New Year to all in the Minimbah Community. Whilst it has been a difficult period for many families around our country, I do hope all members of our community managed to stay safe and enjoy special time with family and friends.
We have seen the worst of times recently, but I believe we must keep hope and gratitude as central to our thinking as communities near and further afield recover after the recent bushfires. It can be difficult to comprehend the enormity of what has occurred recently, and young children especially may have many questions. I include here some advice from UNICEF on how to address recent events with children.
There is also a simple pdf attached from the Australian Childhood Foundation with ideas for supporting our children.

On a more positive note, it was wonderful today to see the many smiling faces as the children returned to school after the summer break. We are all looking forward to an incredible year together. I extend an extra special welcome to all those families new to Woodleigh.
