VCE Coordinator News

It’s a challenging time for all of us during this remote teaching period, and I would like to extend my sincerest thanks to all students, families, and of course, staff for their incredibly hard work. Teaching and learning in the age of COVID-19 is a monumental challenge that all corners of the Woodleigh community continue to meet head-on.

There has been some news from the VCAA regarding aspects of the VCE. Changes have been made to the Study Designs for every subject to reflect the current situation and to provide better support for the students in this challenging period.

The relevant teaching staff are aware of the updates to the Study Designs, which have mostly seen adjustments and reductions in content for Unit 4, and they are busily ensuring the changes are reflecting in their teaching plans for the students moving forward. Some components of Unit 3 assessments required alterations to support a remote learning environment — no changes have been made to Units 1 and 2.

There have been no further updates regarding the end-of-year VCAA exams at the time of writing. Still, we know that any examinable content will reflect the updated changes to the Study Designs as described above.

All VCE students must continue to engage with their teachers and with the Continuous Learning Plan so that they can progress with the studies and seek to attain their 'S' for their respective Units of work.

Thank you all for your continued support.
