Staffing News

After nine wonderful years, Mrs Maree Chynoweth has decided to resign from her role as the Minimbah Librarian. Maree will conclude her time with us at the end of the 2019 school year. I am sure you join me in thanking Maree for the inspiring work she has contributed to the lives of the children as our Librarian. Replacing her from the beginning of 2020 will be Mrs Briony Wright. Briony comes to us from Somers Primary School where she has held several classroom and specialist positions and, more recently, covering Maree in our Library while Maree was taking her well-deserved Long Service Leave.

Our current Year 3 teacher, Mr Jonathan Crouch, has very strong and enduring ties to Kananook Primary School having attended the school as a student and subsequently teaching there. Jonathan will be returning to Kananook Primary School in 2020. I thank him for his very positive contribution here at Minimbah and, of course, look forward to his continued efforts through to the end of this year. I am in the process of finding a replacement for Jonathan and will update you on the outcome early next term.

I congratulate Mr Anthony Bingham who has been appointed to the whole-school leadership position as Director of Music following the appointment of the current Director, Mrs Cathy Holt, to the role of Director of the Arts. I thank Anthony for his work in our Music Department. I am very happy to let you know that Mrs Sue Fletcher has been appointed as Director of Minimbah Music from the beginning of 2020. I am currently recruiting a Classroom Music Teacher for 2020 and will let you know that outcome of that process next term also.

Please join me in congratulating our Drama Teacher, Mrs Sarah Thomas, on the safe arrival of a baby boy; a beautiful baby brother for Hazel. Congratulations Sarah and Pete!
