Four for Four

Woodleigh School will introduce a new four-day program at its Four-Year-Old Early Childhood Centre at Penbank Campus from 2027, running Tuesday to Friday each week.
The expanded offering reflects Woodleigh’s commitment to a rich, relational and deeply engaging Early Childhood experience – one that honours the voice of the child and supports each learner to develop confidence, curiosity and a strong sense of belonging.
The program will continue to be shaped by the values and practices that make Woodleigh’s Early Childhood environment distinctive, with learning grounded in the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme alongside a Reggio Emilia-inspired approach that values inquiry, creativity, collaboration and the many ways children express their thinking.
Bush Kinder remains central to the experience, with children spending meaningful inquiry time in nature to develop resilience, independence, problem-solving skills and a deep connection to the world around them. These nature-based experiences give children more time to connect, explore, wonder and grow in the important year before Foundation.
Woodleigh’s Early Childhood Program offers a natural and nurturing pathway into school, helping children become familiar with the people, places and routines that will support their next step.
Penbank also supports families requiring early starts and late finishes, with outside-hours care available from 7am for drop-off and until 6pm for aftercare, on both a casual and permanent basis.
Families interested in exploring the options available for their child can contact Woodleigh’s friendly Enrolments Team.
