THE ART OF BELONGING AND INCLUSION  - MOSAICKING WITH ANDREA HUGHES

To belong is a basic human need. In order to feel like we belong, we need to feel connected. Art can play a vital role in helping us stay connected as a community; to create something together, to see, hear, understand ourselves and others from different perspectives. Art-making creates conversation and fosters shared values, awareness and learning.

Our artist-in-residence, Andrea Hughes, will work with students to create a large-scale mosaic mural, to be permanently displayed in our Wellbeing Garden, with the intention of bringing people together, to feel a sense of belonging and ownership through connection to art.
