School Sport Victoria Northern Peninsula Zone Divisional Athletics Championships

In Term 1 of this year, 12 students from Minimbah were Bayside District Champions in their selected athletic events. This qualified them to compete in the Northern Peninsula Divisional Athletic Championships held on Tuesday 4 October at the Mornington Athletics Centre in Mornington. The students, their events, and results were as follows:

12/13-Year-Old Group

Luca Dwyer-Morris – Shotput – 1st Place

Oscar Crittenden – High Jump – 5th Place

4 x 100m Relay – 5th Place – Ruben Charlton, Oscar Crittenden, Lachlan Palmer, Nate Shepherd

11-Year-Old Group

Molly Barrett – 1500m – 5th Place

Cooper Rix – Discus – 5th Place


9/10-Year-Old Group

Milly Williams – Long Jump – 3rd Place

Lewis Spicer – High Jump – 4th Place

Henry Palmer – 800m – 5th Place

4 x 100m Relay – 6th Place – Brodie Johnson, Henry Palmer, Kevin Ni, Dallas Teleskivi.

Nate Shepherd – Long Jump – 3rd Place, 200m – 4th Place


Congratulations to all the students, in particular, to Luca Dwyer-Morris who placed First in the 12/13 Boys Shot Put with a throw of 8.86 meters. A sensational, personal effort.
