From the Principal

Last Thursday we were treated to the most beautiful Musicale which showcased the amazing talents of our students and staff at Woodleigh School. At this time of year it is always wonderful to be uplifted by performances such as these and to see our students strutting their stuff on stage and carrying us away to a magical place of their creation. It was a delight.

Isabel Allen and Rupert McLorinan did an expert job at MC'ing the night and we all loved their comedy routine which drew the audience into the Production itself. We also had the opportunity to thank Cathy Holt our Director of Music for her stewardship of this program for the last 21 years in our school. Cathy is not leaving us, but is stepping into a role to oversee the whole of the Arts Program – creating and performing in our school. Cathy begins this new role next year, so this was the last Musicale where she was directly in charge.

It was a wonderful send off for her and we now look forward to the leadership of Anthony Bingham and Sue Fletcher as they lead our capable team of instrumental and music staff into more great celebrations of our students in the years ahead.
