Reporting Absences
Any absence, late arrival, or early departure can be reported via the School Stream App under ‘Absentees’ or emailed to [email protected]. Any absence longer than one week must be approved by the Head of Campus and emailed to [email protected].
MYKI
People aged under 18 can travel free on all Victorian public transport services. This includes trams, trains, buses, and coach services, but excludes Woodleigh school buses operated by Driver Bus Lines. To access free travel, students must use a new youth myki card and tap the card on and off each time they travel. For areas that do not use myki cards, they must show their myki card to travel for free.
Mobile Phones
Woodleigh’s Mobile Phone Policy - Mobile Phone Gate-to-Gate Ban
The following provides you with some reminders:
Phones must be turned off and securely stored in locked student lockers.
Phones will not be accessed during recess, lunch, other breaks, or after-school activities (including after-school supervision on Wednesdays).
iMessage and phone mirroring are disabled on all school laptops.
If you require any support, please reach out to your child’s tutor, Homestead Coordinator or our Wellbeing Team.
Child Safety
Woodleigh has a zero-tolerance policy for child abuse and is committed to promoting child safety, children's wellbeing and protecting children from abuse. Ministerial Order 1359 requires Woodleigh to implement child safety standards and to accommodate and take the needs of all children (including but not limited to: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, children with disabilities, and vulnerable children) into account when creating a child-safe environment. All members of our community must comply with Woodleigh's Child Safety Policies and related policies and procedures, uphold the overarching principles and values set out, and conduct themselves in accordance with the commitments to take all reasonable steps to promote the safety of children.
Influenza Season
We will continue to promote a safe and hygienic environment for all staff and students as COVID continues and the Influenza season begins. We would ask all parents to remind their children, before returning to school, about personal hygiene practices, specifically, continuing to wash their hands regularly, socially distancing where required, and coughing into their elbows. Please do not send your child to school if they are unwell.
Canteen
The Senior Campus Canteen will operate as of Day 1 (21 April 2026). Just a reminder that the canteen does not accept cash. Students will need to pay with a debit card or use their Flexischools account via their student card. Mobile phone payments will not be accepted.
