Dear Minimbah families

We are thrilled to acknowledge the upcoming milestone birthday of our beloved school dog, Gypsy! Gypsy has been a beacon of joy and comfort for all our students, providing unwavering support and companionship. Her gentle presence and calming nature have made a significant impact on our school community, helping to create a warm and welcoming environment. Gypsy's rascally behaviour is part of her charm.

She loves to walk through you when you're on the floor, and her smelly antics always bring a laugh. She enjoys sitting on you, and if your patting isn't up to her standards, she'll walk off without a second thought. Her tail smacks in the face are legendary, and she never misses a chance to join in if you're really energetic.

Students reflect:

Gypsy can see through you; she can sense when you’re sad.

  • I come to school because of Gypsy.
  • To love Gypsy is not a habit, it is a way of life.
  • When you’re sad, Gypsy can cheer you up.
  • The kindest doggo around.
  • I was a cat person, but now I’m a dog person because of Gypsy.
  • Protecting the bins in the Homestead is a way of life.
  • Gypsy deserves to be the ruler of the school.
  • Gypsy, the local vacuum cleaner.
  • When Gypsy is relaxed, my clothes are wet.
  • Gypsy can talk, she tells me her secrets.
  • Her eyes can melt the coldest of hearts.
  • The best thing in the world is her tail wagging.
  • In some ways, Gypsy is a human.
  • Gypsy has the warmest hugs.
  • You could make a wool coat with all the fur she sheds.
  • Gypsy brings us happiness.

Happy 10th Birthday, Gypsy! We are so grateful for the happiness and love you bring every day. Not to mention your incredible talent for always being present when morning tea is on offer and your undeniable love for food! Here's to many more years of belly rubs, treats, and chasing possums (or at least dreaming about it)!
