Students use notebook computers across the range of their subject studies. At Year 7, the focus is on developing an understanding of the notebook computers, the desktop computers, accessing the network, use of email and the Internet, improving word processing skills and an introduction to concept mapping software.

The electives offered in Semesters 1 and 2 of Year 10 enable students to specialise in line with their interests, abilities and career and further education intentions. Students also complete a week’s work experience. All students participate in two 80-minute sessions of FOCUS per fortnight. These sessions are designed to add depth and breadth to the academic curriculum and career education as well as developing specific skills in a range of areas such as technology, study techniques and problem solving.
