General Information

Woodleigh School will award Scholarships at each year of the above levels.  The Scholarships will be for either 25% or 50% remission of tuition fees.  The number of scholarships available at each level varies depending upon the quality of the applicants each year, but Scholarships are awarded at each of the above year levels.  Scholarships are awarded with the intention that they will continue to the end of Year 12, but will be subject to review by the Principal every two years.  Scholarships are both for students not yet attending Woodleigh School and for students already at the School.

Scholarships are awarded on the basis of performance in tests.  For students who perform well on these tests, an interview with the Principal will be arranged.  Evidence of a particular talent in the areas of academic performance or music will be taken into account at interview.

Students applying for a Music Scholarship are required to sit the Scholarship tests but most weight will be placed upon evidence of talent in their instrument, submitted with their application.  Music applicants may also be invited to undertake an audition.

The Scholarship tests are held each year, for entry the following year.

The tests for 2011 entry will be held on Saturday 27 February 2010.

Tests for entry to Year 5, 2011 will be held at the Junior Campus, Minimbah, Minimbah Court, Frankston South and will end at approximately 12.00pm.

Tests for Year 7, 2011 are held at the Senior Campus, Golf Links Road, Baxter – also ending at approximately 12.00pm.

These tests will be conducted by EduTest and testing dates are re-advertised in the local press.  Application must be made on-line by following the link below from 13 November 2009.
