Uniform and Dress Code Policy

Junior Campus children from 4 year old ECC to Year 6 wear a compulsory school uniform in keeping with the School philosophies and the V Curriculum. 

At 3 year old ECC the wearing of uniform is optional.The uniform is a combination of any of the following items:

Girls

  • Summer dress and white socks
  • School jumper (rugby jumper ECC only)
  • Skort (shorts with a skirt front)
  • Shorts
  • Long pant
  • White or black socks or black tights
  • White or green short sleeve polo
  • White or green long sleeve polo
  • Black lace up shoes or black closed toed sandals (ECC–Year 2 children may wear elastic sided school boots)

Boys

  • School jumper (rugby jumper ECC only)
  • Shorts
  • Long pant
  • White or black socks
  • White or green short sleeve polo
  • White or green long sleeve polo
  • Black lace up shoes (ECC – Year 2 children may wear elastic sided school boots)

Sport uniform – girls and boys

  • Sport polo shirt
  • Sport shorts
  • Woodleigh fleecy track pants, Prep –Year 2
  • Rugby jumper, Prep -Year 6
  • Woodleigh nylon tracksuit, (top & bottom), Year 3 – Year 6
  • Bathers, girls and boys
  • Jammer shorts, boys
  • Solar rash top, girls and boys
  • White school pattern short sport socks
  • Runners, predominantly white (not available at the Uniform Shop)

Other items

  • School hat, compulsory Terms 1 & 4
  • Weatherproof jacket
  • Backpack school bag compulsory
  • Sports bag compulsory

Protective clothing

Art smocks are provided for use in Visual Art activities.

Purchasing

All items of the Junior Campus uniform, except footwear are available exclusively from the Junior Campus uniform shop located at School.  Opening times vary, but will be advertised in the Junior Campus Weekly Update.

Responsibilities

It is the responsibility of students, parents and staff to ensure that the uniform is worn as stated above.

Marking

All clothing must be marked clearly with the child’s name (preferably a sewn name label).  
This is the responsibility of the parents.

Lost property

Lost items of clothing are collected and held in lost property, which is located outside the art room door.  Un-named items not collected after a period of time will be donated to the Second Hand Uniform Shop.  It is the responsibility of the students to check lost property initially and of the staff to organise Year 6 monitors to sort lost items and display these for collection at regular intervals.

Jewellery

Jewellery must not be worn.  Rings, bracelets and necklaces can be dangerous in some activities and also cause distress to the children if they are lost at school.   It is the responsibility of parents and staff to enforce this rule.

Hair accessories

Hair accessories should be minimal and kept within school colours of green or white.  It is the responsibility of parents and staff to enforce this rule.
