Who we are

Woodleigh School is an ECC – Year 12 independent coeducational day school serving Frankston, Mount Eliza, the Mornington Peninsula, and the Westernport region. It is of small to moderate size, with two campuses. The Junior Campus (Minimbah) in South Frankston covers ECC to Year 6, with 200 – 220 students and was founded in 1856. The Senior Campus is situated on 20 hectares in rural Baxter and covers Years 7 – 12, with approximately 560 – 580 students and was founded in 1974. Woodleigh School had a long historical association withthe Anglican Chursh but is now independent and is not an evangelical school. The School is well known for its borad, balanced, student-centred and contemporary educational programs.

Our aims

Woodleigh School aims to provide a dynamic balanced liberal education in a supportive learning environment. Woodleigh School aims to educate the whole person to reach their full potential as human beings through an enriching range of programs and activities which develop an enquiring mind, initiative, independence, character, and personality.

The programs at Woodleigh School aim to develop each of the following areas of skill and understanding:

  • academic & intellectual
  • creative/innovative/problem solving
  • cultural & environmental
  • social (including responsible citizenship)
  • personal (including personal growth, emotional stability, and interpersonal skills)
  • physical and recreational
  • moral and spiritual

An appropriate balance of the above elements is the key to education at Woodleigh School.
