Application Fee

Please note the application must be accompanied by a non refundable fee of $100 (inc GST). A singlepayment of $150 (inc GST) is payable for multiple applications from the same family at the same time.

Family Entry Fee

An Entry Fee is payable prior to the commencement of a family's first child at Woodleigh School. No place is considered reserved until the non-refundable Entry Fee is paid. Entry to the School is available only to children with reserved places. A reservation will not be confirmed until a written offer of a place is made by the School and the Family Entry Fee has been paid. The Family Entry Fee is a non-refundable amount of $1,550.00. A 50% reduction in the Family Entry Fee will apply to families whose first sibling enters the School between 3 Year Old ECC and Year 2 inclusive.

Building Levy

A Building Levy of $104.00 per term per family will be added to the Fees Account each term.

Notes

  1. Tuition Fees for each academic year will be set by the School Board and notified to Parents in the preceding year.
  2. The School Board reserves the right to alter Tuition Fees during the course of the academic year. Any such increase shall come into effect 28 days after written notification of any such increase has been provided to Parents.
  3. An account for Fees will be issued prior to the commencement of each term; there are four terms per year. The account is payable on the first day of term.
  4. Further accounts will be issued during each year for costs and incidental charges that accrue during the course of each term, for example, costs associated with the Activities program, Activity Weeks, camps, and some excursions.
  5. ECC: A four or five day program is available for children entering the 4 Year Old Program. The 3 Year Old program is one day per week (Friday, 2009). Children commencing during term will be charged on a pro-rata basis
  6. Sibling discounts: A reduction of 5% is given on tuition fees for the second child, 25% for the third child and 50% for the fourth and subsequent children who are at the school at the same time.
  7. A full term's notice of withdrawal from the School is required, otherwise a term's fees will be charged in lieu of such notice.
  8. In cases of financial difficulty, families may apply in writing to the Principal for exemption from the Building Levy.

Payment of Fees

Fee accounts must be paid by one of the following methods:

  1. Payment in full on the first day of term or within14 days of the issue of the account, whichever is the later. This payment may be made by cheque, credit card or BPay.
  2. By ten monthly payments either by direct debit authority from your bank account or by credit card authority. If you wish to pay your account monthly, please contact the Finance Office to finalise arrangements.

Books and Stationery

Students at Woodleigh will be expected to purchase some of their basic textbooks and all of their stationery requirements. Using book lists prepared by the school, Landmark School Supplies of Seaford supply textbooks and stationery needs on a cash basis.

Technology Program Levy-(Years 7-12)

Families choose one of the following three options:

  1. Paying the levy, which provides students access to class sets of notebook computers during the School day. The levy is $112.50 per term.
  2. Purchasing or leasing a notebook computer through the School’s preferred supplier.
  3. Providing a notebook from home, with a small licence / configuration fee. (The levy is incorporated into the annual fees for Years 3 - 6.)

Music Tuition

Music for Years 5 - 8 involves an instrumental program in conjunction with a classroom music program. Charges for hire and use of instruments will be $45.00 per term. These charges cover depreciation and maintenance. Where students provide their own instruments there will be no instrumental charge.

In addition to compulsory music education classes and ensemble playing as part of the normal weekly school timetable, we are happy to offer private tuition in the following:

  • Piano - A piano should be available at home for practice.
  • Guitar -Rock, Folk and Classical (including Bass).
  • Percussion - Full range of tuned and untuned percussion including Drum Kit.
  • Strings - Violin, Cello, Viola, Double Bass.
  • Woodwind - Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Oboe.
  • Brass - Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn, Euphonium, Tuba.
  • Singing - Popular or Classical style.
  • Theory/Aural skills - General skills and/or exam preparation.

The cost of tuition at Senior Campus

  • $504.00 per term  (60 minute individual lessons; $63.00 per lesson)
  • $336.00 per term  (40 minute individual lessons; $42.00 per lesson)
  • $208.00 per term (40 minute group lessons; $26.00 per lesson): 2 student group - Not available for piano and only available where students are of a compatible standard.

The cost of tuition at Junior Campus

  • $252.00 per term (30 minute individual lessons; $31.50per lesson)
  • $156.00 per term (30 minute group lessons; $19.50 per lesson): 2 student group - Not available for piano (with the exception of students in Prep and Year 1) and only available where students are of a compatible standard.

  • Parents will be billed on their term accounts.

NB: During the school year, a full term’s notice in writing must be given if your child wishes to discontinue music tuition, or the appropriate fee paid in lieu of such notice.
